Bio

I'm a writer and audio producer, and host, based in St. John's, Newfoundland. Before that I spent 15 years living in and around Austin, Texas. I'm the host and lead producer of the 7-part Come By Chance series for CBC and Novel. I've written about art and culture for the Globe and Mail, CBC, Eater, Dwell, Architectural Digest, Riddle Fence, the Austin American-Statesman, and others. I've made docs for CBC, 99 Percent Invisible, Snap Judgement, and the BBC World Service. Before that I learned radio at KUT in Austin and worked at the Texas Standard. (Somehow along the way I became obsessed with architecture and almost went to architecture school, but thought better of it, and here we are.)
